Emulex Expands SAN Connectivity Offerings for HP Integrity Servers
Emulex PCI Express I/O Controllers Provide Scalability and Performance to Meet HP-UX and OpenVMS Users' Needs
COSTA MESA, Calif., May 27, 2008 - Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that its PCI Express I/O Controller (IOC) 3532 has been selected to support the new HP multi-protocol Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) for HP Integrity servers. The Emulex IOC 3532 provides HP Integrity systems with a wide range of SAN connectivity solutions for HP-UX 11i and OpenVMS operating environments.

HP Integrity servers can attach to networked storage through Emulex SAN connectivity solutions and offer customers mission-critical workload consolidation and virtualization capabilities. The new HP multi-protocol HBAs (HP product numbers: AD221A, AD222A and AD393A) have both PCI Express Fibre Channel and Ethernet ports to expand the connectivity options for HP customers. These new Emulex-based connectivity solutions are available in single and dual-port configurations over a choice of fiber or copper and are supported by HP-UX l1i v3 and OpenVMS operating environments.

Emulex HBA solutions are supported by a wide variety of HP servers, including HP Integrity and HP9000 servers to Superdome, and they support an entire range of operating environments including HP-UX 11i, OpenVMS, Integrity Windows and Linux, and Tru64 UNIX. Emulex solutions include the IOC 3532 technology, as well as Emulex's LightPulse® 4Gb/s LPe11002 dual channel and LPe1150 single channel Fibre Channel PCI Express HBAs.
