EMULEX 4Gb/s HBAs Qualified for Use With New EMC CLARiiON CX3 UltraScale Series

Emulex Delivers Industry-Leading 4Gb/s Performance; SAN Connectivity Complements Latest EMC Networked Storage Solutions

COSTA MESA, Calif., June 14, 2006 - Emulex Corporation (NYSE: ELX), the most trusted name in storage networking connectivity, today announced that EMC Corporation has qualified Emulex's 4Gb/s PCI-Express and PCI-X host bus adapters (HBAs) as compatible with the new EMC® CLARiiON® CX3 UltraScale™ series of networked storage systems. The HBAs, which include Emulex's LP11002-E, LP11000-SUN-E, LP1150-E, LPe11002-E, LPe11000SUN-E and LPe1150-E will help provide customers with maximum storage-area network (SAN) performance and connectivity and offer superior quality, reliability, efficient installation and management.

The Emulex 4Gb/s PCI Express and PCI-X HBAs are fully EMC E-Lab™ Tested for deployment in SAN environments with the new CLARiiON CX3 UltraScale series storage arrays in Solaris, Windows and Linux operating environments and are available immediately through the EMC Select program. The new CLARiiON CX3-20, CX3-40 and CX3-80 systems feature full end-to-end 4Gb/s technology and enable customers to scale both performance and capacity, while consolidating multiple tiers of information onto a single storage array. EMC's rigorous E-Lab testing and qualification process reinforces the quality Emulex offers that customers and partners have come to rely on. The EMC Select program provides customers with a convenient, single source for their total storage needs.
